Remembering Ian

Life changed forever on 22nd December 2009 when my Dad; Ian Thompson, was diagnosed with stomach cancer.

Despite gruelling treatment and displaying courage beyond any words, sadly he lost his battle on 8th September 2010, aged just sixty years old.

During his illness, we witnessed firsthand the invaluable work of the Newbury & District Cancer Care Trust. (Reg. Charity No: 291975)

This independent, local charity offer help and support to patients and their families by providing transport to and from medical appointments through a small team of volunteers, loaning equipment such as wheelchairs and pillows, as well as offering therapy and counselling.

They were there when we needed them most, so to thank them for their incredible compassion and support, our family and friends are raising funds for N&DCCT in memory of Dad, Ian, or Thommo as he was know to all his mates.

The purpose of this site is to publicise what we've achieved so far and to advertise the fundraising events we are arranging for 2012.

You can donate to the fund anytime via: www.justgiving.com/thommo
